Tommy Fleetwood claimed men’s golf silver with an overall score of 18-under at Paris 2024.
The 33-year-old was in a share for the lead during the final round but a bogey on 17 harmed his chances of gold.
A nerveless putt on the 18th hole at Le Golf National saved par and guaranteed him a silver medal behind world number one Scottie Scheffler of the USA and ahead of Hideki Matsuyama of Japan.
Sitting one shot off the lead before the beginning of the fourth round on 13-under, two-time Olympian Fleetwood, bogeyed the first.

He responded in the best possible way with three birdies in a row, doing something similar with a bogey on seventh as he followed that by two birdies to complete the front nine in 33.
Fleetwood did not shoot over par on any of the front or back nines across his four rounds as his consistency powered him up the rankings.
The Southport native barely faltered on the back nine, with three birdies before that dropped shot on 17th ultimately moved him out of a play-off for gold.
Nevertheless, silver marks an impressive achievement for Fleetwood who finished 16th in Tokyo and missed the cut at his most recent major, and for his caddie Ian Finnis who had open heart surgery just over three months ago.
"I never dreamt I would be an Olympic medallist," he said.
“I haven’t been in the mix that much recently and being back there, playing well and feeling how that felt again, I enjoyed it so much and I’m unbelievably proud to be an Olympic medallist.
“It feels unbelievably special and I know I didn’t win gold, a very good golfer (Scottie Scheffler) did, but standing on that podium with a medal was one of the most amazing moments I’ve had as a golfer. I’ll remember those times for the rest of my life.”
