The National Lottery to welcome home Team GB with a spectacular arena show in Manchester

The National Lottery will welcome home Team GB’s athletes with a spectacular arena show in Manchester later this summer, creating a moment for the nation to party alongside their heroes and celebrate their incredible achievements, dedication and passion following the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The event will take place at the AO Arena in Manchester on Saturday 17 August, with the show broadcast on BBC One and iPlayer on Sunday 18 August.

Tickets are free* to National Lottery players as a thank you for the vital role they have played in the athletes’ journey to Paris. The ticket ballot for The National Lottery’s Team GB Homecoming opens at 10am on Wednesday 17 July.

Set against the backdrop of magical sporting moments from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the landmark event will combine the worlds of music, entertainment and sport, and will feature iconic UK artists including Clean Bandit, Jess Glynne, Pete Tong and Rag’n’Bone Man, with more to be announced.

Hosted by Emma Willis and Vernon Kay, the show will see high-profile performances and unique collaborations, stunning production and staging, as well as appearances from well-known faces from the world of sport.

The events are to thank National Lottery players whose funding helps support Team GB athletes to be the best they can be. Since National Lottery funding started to support elite sport in 1997 Team GB has never fallen out of the top ten in the medal table, and was fourth in the 2020 Tokyo Games, winning a stunning 22 golds. During the Tokyo Olympic Games Adam Peaty won Team GB’s landmark 100th gold medal since National Lottery funding began, with 117 gold medals won in total so far.

National Lottery players have the opportunity to enter a ballot to win a pair of free* tickets as a thank you for powering Team GB and ParalympicsGB to success since National Lottery funding into elite sport began in 1997. The ballot for The National Lottery’s Team GB Homecoming event opens at 10am on Wednesday 17 July with 6,000 tickets up for grabs. Those entering for tickets will be required to confirm they have a National Lottery ticket that they can present on the day of the event.

The National Lottery’s ParalympicsGB Homecoming will be held on Thursday 12 September at the Utilita Arena, Birmingham. Further details will be announced at a later date and the ballot will open on Monday 19 August.
