Sir Steve Redgrave joins line-up for Team GB House at Paris 2024

Five-time Olympic Champion Sir Steve Redgrave has joined the bill for Team GB House, Team GB’s live entertainment venue at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

An Evening with Sir Steve Redgrave will take place on the 26th, 27th and 28th July in Team GB House. Sir Steve joins the bill for the An Evening With… series alongside fellow Olympic legends Sir Mark Cavendish, Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, Sir Chris Hoy, and Dame Laura Kenny. Tickets for all nights at the House are on sale now via House.TeamGB.com.

After winning a gold medal at five consecutive Olympic Games – plus a bronze at Seoul 1988 – Sir Steve is the most successful male rower in Olympic history. On top of his Olympic achievements, he is a nine-time World Champion and three-time Commonwealth Champion, and considered by many to be among the greatest rowers of all time. He was awarded a Knighthood in 2001 for services to the sport.

An Evening with Sir Steve will take place alongside an Opening Ceremony watch party on the 26th July, while the night of the 27th will feature the first of the medal races in swimming, including the men’s 4x100m freestyle relay. The evening of the 28th will feature the men’s 100m breaststroke final, rounding off a day of medal-winning opportunities in archery, canoe slalom, judo, mountain bike, and shooting.

Steve Redgrave said: “I haven’t missed an Olympic Games since 1980, and this was never going to be the year to buck the trend! I can’t think of a better way to kick off my time in Paris than with three nights on the trot at Team GB House. We’re all expecting a remarkable Opening Ceremony, and being at right at the heart of Team GB to soak it all up will be very special.”

Sport and entertainment presenters Nick Bright, Nicole Holliday and Olympian Perri Shakes-Drayton will host the nightly live show in Team GB House at the breathtaking Pavillon d’Armenonville, just moments from the buzz of central Paris.

As well as catching the hosts in conversation with Sir Steve and other Olympic legends, ticket holders will have the opportunity to join in-person medal celebrations with Team GB athletes and watch the biggest moments of the Games unfold live on the big screens. A house band, live DJ sets, and the finest British cuisine will provide the finishing touches.

The British Olympic Association (BOA), which runs Team GB, is entirely independently funded. All revenue from ticket sales goes towards supporting the BOA to take athletes to Olympic events, including the Olympic Games, Youth Olympic Games, European Games and more.
