Sir Mark Cavendish KBE joins line-up for Team GB House at Paris 2024

The newly knighted Sir Mark Cavendish KBE has joined the bill for Team GB House, Team GB’s live entertainment venue at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

An Evening with Sir Mark Cavendish will take place on 7th August in Team GB House. Widely considered among the greatest road sprinters of all time, Cavendish returns to his spiritual home in the city of Paris to play host to Team GB fans of all ages.

The three-time Olympian counts a silver medal from Rio 2016 among his extensive achievements from a career spanning almost 20 years to date. Alongside a World Road Race title and three World Madison titles, he holds the joint record for the most Tour de France stage victories among a grand total of 55 grand tour stage wins. He was awarded a Knighthood for services to cycling and charity in the King’s Birthday Honours List for 2024.

Cavendish joins the bill for the An Evening With… series alongside fellow Olympic legends Sir Chris Hoy, Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, and Dame Laura Kenny. Tickets for all nights at the House are on sale now via House.TeamGB.com.

More Olympians from the world of athletics, rowing, triathlon and swimming are set to be announced shortly.

An Evening with Sir Mark will be complemented by a night of big screen sport at Team GB House, including the women’s team pursuit in cycling, and the men’s 400m and women’s pole vault in athletics.

Mark Cavendish said: “Team GB House was always an amazing place to visit as an athlete. Nothing beats the support of a British crowd! I feel incredibly honoured to be able to visit in a different capacity for Paris 2024 and to be able to lend my own support to the next generation of Team GB athletes alongside legends like Laura, Chris and Jess.”

Sport and entertainment presenters Nick Bright, Nicole Holliday and Olympian Perri Shakes-Drayton will host the nightly live show in Team GB House at the breathtaking Pavillon d’Armenonville, just moments from the buzz of central Paris. As well as catching the hosts in conversation with Mark and other Olympic legends, ticket holders will have the opportunity to join in-person medal celebrations with Team GB athletes and watch the biggest moments of the Games unfold live on the big screens. A house band, live DJ sets, and the finest British cuisine will provide the finishing touches, with full details of the programme to be announced soon.

The British Olympic Association (BOA), which runs Team GB, is entirely independently funded. All revenue from ticket sales goes towards supporting the BOA to take athletes to Olympic events, including the Olympic Games, Youth Olympic Games, European Games and more.
