Paris 2024 Day 10: Team GB athletes in action

Tack cycling gets underway on day 10 of Paris 2024, as the women's 800m lights up the athletics track.

Keely Hodgkinson will be aiming to upgrade on the women’s 800m silver she earned in Tokyo, with the final in Paris taking place at 20:45 BST on Monday evening.

The 22-year-old, who set a new British record with a world leading time of 1:54.61 in London last month and will head into the final as the fastest qualifier.

Earlier in the evening, Dina Asher-Smith, Darryl Neita and Bianca Williams will contest the women’s 200m semi-finals at 19:45.

Asher-Smith, who qualified in a time of 22.28 seconds, and Neita, who clocked 22.39, have already competed in the women’s 100m. Williams reached the semi-finals in 22.77.

We will also get our first look at the women’s pole vault, with Tokyo bronze medallist Holly Bradshaw and world indoor champion and British record holder Molly Caudery both in qualifying action from 09:40.

British record holder Zharnel Hughes will be competing in the men’s 200m heats at 18:55, while Laviai Nielsen, Victoria Ohuruogu and Amber Anning are in action in the women’s 400m heats at 10:55.

Track Cycling

The track cycling programme begins in the velodrome, with a gold medal immediately up for grabs on Monday.

Team GB's women’s team sprint trio of Emma Finucane, Katy Marchant and Sophie Capewell could claim a first-ever British medal in the event.

Finucane and Capewell were both involved as Team GB won a World Championship silver medal last year. Finucane also has an individual World Championship gold and Marchant won an individual bronze at Rio 2016.

There are also qualifying rounds in the men’s team sprint and men’s team pursuit.

Triathlon - Mixed Relay

Following Alex Yee’s gold and Beth Potter’s bronze, Team GB have another chance to earn a triathlon medal in the mixed relay event.

The race gets underway at 07:00, with Yee, Potter, Sam Dickinson and Georgia Taylor-Brown expected to be representing Britain.

Yee and Taylor-Brown were both part of the team that earned the event's inaugural gold medal in Tokyo.

Canoe Slalom: Kayak Cross

The kayak cross reaches its conclusion on Monday, with Team GB targeting medals in both the men’s and women’s competitions.

On the women’s side, world champion Kimberley Woods and Mallory Franklin are both through to tomorrow’s quarter-finals, which start at 14:30 after winning their heats.

Meanwhile Joe Clarke, the men’s kayak cross world champion, cruised through his heat and is into the quarter-finals, starting at 14:52 as the number one seed.

The women’s final is at 15:55 with the men’s final directly after at 16:00.

Elsewhere, divers Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix and Lois Toulson will be targeting a second Olympic medal following 10m synchro bronze as they compete in the individual competition. The preliminaries start at 10:00, before the semi-final at 14:00.

Sport climbing gets underway at 09:00, with Hamish McArthur and four-time World Cup gold medallist Toby Roberts representing Team GB.

Team GB’s equestrian jumpers will go in individual qualifying, Team GB’s women’s hockey team will face Netherlands in their quarter-final at 16:30.

Team GB's sailors are in strong positions going into the penultimate day of the men’s and women’s dinghy classes.
