“I had a little mistake on beam but I’m just so happy to be here and actually do a pretty decent job and come away with only one mistake, I couldn’t ask for anymore.
“I did my job for the team two days ago and that was the most important thing to me. To know that I left nothing out there that I could have done more.
“That was amazing, honestly. I’m just so happy to be here and to witness the top three athletes to get their medals – it’s just amazing.”
Both Fenton and Kinsella were full of admiration Biles as she claimed her second all-around and sixth Olympic gold.
Kinsella said: “I was in such awe in that arena. When she was doing the floor I was speechless.
“With Simone, she’s such a good inspiration for young people coming up. I definitely look up to her and watching that floor in person was just wow.
“I have no words to be honest.”
