Emily Campbell overcame testing conditions and a slow start to secure a sensational silver medal at the IWF World Championships in Colombia.
The Olympic silver medallist lifted a total of 287kg in the +87kg class, overcoming a difficult first clean and jerk to claim silverware.
Campbell hit a career best of 165kg to bounce back from her first dropped lift and finish behind only Olympic champion Li Wenwen, who took gold with a total of 311kg.
And surrounded by the world's best in Bogota, Campbell was impressed with her efforts despite feeling the effects of the climate.
"I've done a lot of good prep for this and I never miss jerks, it’s one thing I never do, but I felt all over the place," she said.
"This altitude really gets to you and after that last jerk I felt like I was in another world.
"Looking at that scoreboard, there’s a lot of blue [good lifts] on there.
"You'd think it would be harder for us, at the higher weights at this altitude but that's a good effort all round, a good session."
Campbell had to work hard for a podium finish after missing her first clean and jerk at 157kg.
Her overall score of 122-165-287 marginally beat Thailand's Duangaksorn Chaidee, who made six from six for third place on 126-160-286.
The silver upgrades Campbell’s bronze medal from Uzbekistan in 2021.
In the 64kg class, Zoe Smith finished ninth with a total of 209kg whilst Catrin Jones lifted 186kg for 12th in the 55kg class.
