The next seven days mark the busiest of the remaining weeks of the winter sport season with Kerry Barr bidding for a medal at the Women’s World Curling Championships in Canada.
Britain’s winter athletes enjoyed a fine past seven days with Elise Christie and the men’s short track speed skating relay time winning world silver and bronze respectively in Canada themselves in Montreal.
Barr’s Scottish rink are the main focal point for Britain this week at the World Championships while Tom Daley and the British diving team are back in action in the World Series in Dubai.
Elsewhere there are plenty of World Cup finales with biathlon’s global tour finishing in Oslo, ski jumping coming to a close in Planica and freestyle skiing in La Plagne and Silvaplana.
And the World Allround Speed Skating Championships take place in Heerenveen with host nation the Netherlands bidding for further success on their own ice.
